  • Ingredients Required : Tandoori Chicken Recipe

    • 1 Whole Chicken
    • 2 Teaspoons of Kashmiri chilli powder
    • 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
    • Salt to taste
    • 1 Cup of Yogurt
    • 2 Tablespoons of ginger paste
    • 2 tablespoons of garlic paste
    • 1/2 teaspon of garam masala powder
    • 2 tablespoons of olive oil or regular oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon of chat masala
  • Cooking Instructions

    1. Cut slits with a sharp knife on the chicken breast, legs and thighs.
    2. Apply a mixture of 1 teaspoon red kashmiri chilli powder, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and sprinkle salt to taste over the chikcen and sent aside for half an hour.
    3. Tie up yogurtin a miece of muslin and hang over a bowl for 20 minutes so the water from the yogurt drains
    4. Transfer the thick yogurt from the muslin into a bowl, add the remaining red kashmiri chilli powder, salt, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala and oil of your choice.
    5. Rub this mixture all over and into the chicken and marinate for three hours in the fridge. If you have the time you can marinate it overnight as well but make sure you keep it in the fridge.
    6. Put the peices of chicken onto a skewer and cooke in a preheated oven at 200 degree Celcius for 10 minutes
    7. Apply some of the oli on the peices of chicken and cook for another 5 minutes
    8. Your Tandoori chicken is ready to be served
    9. Sprinkle some chat masala and serve with a wedge of lime and onion rings
